The championship, which saw Caitlin Clark-led Iowa fall to South Carolina, was the most-watched basketball game, either men's or women's and college or professional, since 2019. "With a record-setting audience of 18.7 million viewers, Sunday's Iowa-South Carolina title game was a fitting finale to the most-viewed ever NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament," said ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro in a statement. Exit polls are a valuable tool to help understand primary voters’ demographic profile and political views. The share of Republican primary voters and caucusgoers holding these views about Trump’s fitness for office and the 2020 election varies from state to state, even as the dominant sentiment remains largely the same. Exit poll data this year finds GOP primary voters divided in their desired approach to abortion policy in a post-Roe v. Wade era. Trump has also racked up support among those primary voters who are the most acutely unhappy with the way things are going in the US. Like McConnell’s announcement, the choices by GOP elected officials in the primary contest signal their acknowledgement of the party’s direction.
